Create a Transparent or Colored Background

Choose a transparent background when you need an image that can be placed over other designs, colors, or photographs. Transparent PNGs are useful for product photos, profile pictures, presentations, documents, social media graphics, and websites.

If you do not need transparency, use the color picker to add a solid background. You can change the selected color without repeating the background-removal process.

Preview the Result Before Downloading

Remove the Background from a PDF Page

In addition to common image formats, the tool accepts PDF files. When you upload a PDF, its first page is converted into an image and the background is removed. The finished page can then be downloaded as a PNG.
