Make a Signature Transparent
Remove light paper from a scanned or photographed signature. Review the ink, then download a transparent PNG for your document or design.
Keep the ink. Leave the paper behind.
Check the finest strokes before downloading. The preview backgrounds help you inspect the result; they stay out of the saved PNG.

Illustration uses a synthetic ink sample.
Three steps to a transparent signature
- Upload your image.Choose one PNG or JPG of a single-color signature on plain light paper.
- Review the ink.Use checkerboard, white, pale yellow or dark preview backgrounds to inspect thin and pale strokes.
- Download the PNG.Place the transparent image in your usual document or design software.
What works best
Start with a clear scan or photo, one ink color and a plain light background. The output keeps the oriented source dimensions.
Upload one PNG or JPG, up to 12 MiB and 4 million pixels, with a longest side of 6,000 pixels. Dark or patterned paper, multicolor artwork and missing-ink restoration are outside this tool’s scope.
Try one final result
Try one final result before signing in. After that, sign in and choose an available plan. Previews and unchanged repeat downloads in the current session remain free. The shared account panel shows the available plans.
Your signature stays yours
Use a signature you have permission to reuse. Image processing runs on the SuperTool app host. Source and result images use session- and job-owned temporary files; this tool does not collect a signature library. Standard hosting and account policies still apply.
Questions before you upload
Will the checkerboard appear in my download?
The checkerboard is a preview aid. The saved PNG uses transparency for the removed paper.
Can I use a photo of a signature?
Yes. Use a clear PNG or JPG photo of a single-color signature on plain light paper. Review the result carefully, especially thin and pale strokes.
Can I place the signature in a PDF here?
Download the transparent PNG, then place it with your document or design software. This tool creates the image; document placement is a separate step.
Does changing the preview background change my PNG?
The preview backgrounds are for inspection. They do not become part of the downloaded image.
